|About the Book|
The 1960s are memorable for many Scottish football fans, because during this decade their clubs produced their finest-ever teams. Kilmarnock and Dundee created title-winning sides, and Dunfermline appeared in three Cup Finals, winning two of them. For many fans, the team of the decade was the Celtic side that won the European Cup in 1967—The Lisbon Lions. This book attempts to show that there was an even finer team in that decade than the legendary Lions, one that has been vastly underrated—the Rangers side of 1960-64. Most Rangers fans can easily name-off the players in this well-loved team—Ritchie, Shearer, and Caldow—not just for one triumph, but because of their achievements over a period of years.
